virtualwolf:

Also, this lunch is made of WIN.

Swoon:

It’s a Win sandwich?

virtualwolf:

It’s empanadas filled with win.

denni:

32 or 64?

Swoon:

Watch out for the bits of system32 stuck in the filling

Carlfish:

Jesus was running acceptance tests?

Jirra:

I thought he was meant to accept everything?

furgin:

He’d make terrible QA. “This here is crap but i forgive you.”

Jirra:

“This feature doesn’t work at all. Never mind. I still love you.”

Carlfish:

“Product sinks in water”. Closed. Could not reproduce.

ChrisLePetit:

I do like the new system. I cannot maintain a call on 3G at my house, bad reception area. Previously my iPhone would say 4-5 bars, now it says 1.

ChrisLePetit:

It makes sense now that I can't maintain calls longer than about 30 seconds

Wobin:

Now you can blame the network instead of the phone =)

ChrisLePetit:

Wobin: I always did blame the network, I'm on freaking Optus/Virgin

ChrisLePetit:

It's basically a 3G connection -> Can -> String -> Can -> Primary telco infrastructure

ChrisLePetit:

Whenever you call up to say the signal is bad, their support engineers pull the string a bit tighter and ask you to try again

Wobin:

"Can you try wetting the string, and trying again?"

Jirra:

If you go into the ladies’ loos after lunch in this building, it’s full of Japanese ladies cleaning their teeth.

Jedi:

Actually it’s bad to brush right after a meal. The sugar from whatever you just ate weakens your enamel.

Jirra:

Should I run back and warn them?

Jirra:

Anyone know how to say “Stop!” in Japanese?Or do I just yell “HAAAAAI-YA!” and karate-chop them?

Swoon:

“sumi massen” (phonetic, no idea on the actual spelling) is some kind of “excuse me please”

Swoon:

You might want to lead with that

Swoon:

And then the karate chop action

Carlfish:

But most importantly, how do you say “Brushing your teeth immediately after meals is bad for you because it strips the enamel?”

Jedi:

それはエナメル質を取り除くため食事の直後に歯をブラッシング悪いあなたのためです。

Wobin:

It is bad for you brushing your teeth after eating to remove the enamel

Carlfish:

Maybe that’s too complicated.

Carlfish:

How about “Drop the toothbrush or you’ll never see your children again”?

Wobin:

歯ブラシを落とせばまたは決してあなたの子供をもう一度見ない

Wobin:

which translates to: Never see your child again or you lose a tooth

Q:

The inhabitants of your home town are inexorably turning into evil agents of the undead. You are given the task of putting them out of their misery. Do you:

  1. Put your zombie loved ones to the sword.

  2. Tell your commanding officer he has crossed a terrible threshold, and leave him to do the job himself.

  3. Hope the secret passage still works.

A:

It's the new Neapolitan. Chocolate, strawberry and pony.

Carlfish:

Because nobody ever ate the vanilla bit.
